This year’s Opus Klassik Gala will take place on October 11, as in previous years, at the Konzerthaus Berlin. In the category “Audiovisual Music Production of the Year,” Jonas Kaufmann was honored for his album Doppelgänger. In the winners’ concert, he will perform one of Emmerich Kálmán’s most beautiful evergreens with soprano Katharina Konradi: the duet “Tanzen möcht’ ich” from the operetta Die Csárdásfürstin. The concert begins at 3:45 p.m., and the recording will air on ZDF starting at 10:15 p.m.
