Lieder im Park

On July 9, 2026, Jonas Kaufmann captivated the audience with unforgettable melodies, open-air at the Theater im Park near Belvedere Palace in Vienna. Together with his longtime piano partner and friend Helmut Deutsch, he took the audience on a journey through Viennese music, ranging from the evergreens of Strauss, Benatzky, and Stolz to the songs of Hermann Leopoldi and the “Everblacks” of Georg Kreisler. Entitled “Jonas Kaufmann: Lieder im Park,” the ORF Kultursommer presents the recording of this special evening in the “Erlebnis Bühne” series: on Sunday, July 26, at 8:15 p.m. on ORF III. The concert will be available on ORF ON already 24 hours before the broadcast.

for family reasons, I am forced to cancel my participation in the production of Verdi's "La forza del Destino", which will open the Teatro alla Scala's 2024/25 season on December 7th. I have already had the privilege of attending this extraordinary Italian cultural event several times, so I am all the more sorry to miss this special event, and to disappoint the audience and my colleagues this time.
