“A great evening at the Vienna State Opera” was the headline in the ‘Merker’: ‘Cavalleria rusticana’ with Elīna Garanča and Jonathan Tetelman as well as ‘I Pagliacci’ with Jonas Kaufmann and Maria Agresta drew rave reviews. On Sunday, February 9, the recording of the Verismo twins will be broadcast on ORF III / Erlebnis Bühne at 8 pm. At the beginning of the program, the protagonists will be interviewed by Barbara Rett.

New Year’s Eve concert online and live in many cinemas
Wagner on New Year's Eve: In the first part of the concert, Kirill Petrenko and the Berliner Philharmoniker perform the overture and bacchanal from Tannhäuser, followed by the first act of Die Walküre, with Vida Miknevičiūtė (Sieginde), Jonas Kaufmann (Siegmund) and Tobias Kehrer, who has taken over the role of Hunding for Georg Zeppenfeld, who is ill.
